Of the 5 dysfunctions, the one that I find is hardest to implement is lack of commitment. When something is planned, some people just never show up. Most of the time they're busy because it's college, but some people just don't try and work on a project or go to an event. A better way to facilitate against falling into this dysfunction is to make the work more attractive. One of the best ways I've found to make it easier to do things and make you want to do them is to have something that's boring and turn it into something out of the ordinary or something cool. Instead of playing ultimate frisbee, you could play ultimate cabbage. If you're planning a group project for a class, change it into a game or something interesting and try to get people on the project involved.

As a leader, some obstacles that might turn up when facilitating teamwork are:

- mental block
sometimes, people just can't come up with an idea. Sometimes bringing in a third party is a great way to unblock the ideas.
- communication in the group
sometimes the group doesn't know what the other people in the group are planning. It's important to have something that will keep the whole group updated on any changes there are.
- mistrust
sometimes people just don't do their part and loose the respect of their peers. It's good to realize the problem and talk to the people that just aren't doing their part. Hopefully that'll motivate them.
