     - I'll have a better future
     - It's expected of me
-Personal Goals
-Wanting to be a better person is my main motivation for working on my personal goals
-social
-My motivation in my social life is having friends and meeting new people.
-family
-My motivation in my family life is really easy. My siblings are awesome! Therefore I want to help them.
2. How can you motivate others as a leader in the following areas: school, work, family, or social?
-Family
Teach them that:
-Family comes first, nobody should come ahead of family

Conflict ResolutionBlog 7

1.) Pick a church leader and research what he/ she has said about conflict resolution. Below share at least two of your favorite findings.
My favorite church leader is Dieter F. Uchdorf. He's amazing and a stud. My favorite things that he said about conflict resolution are:
-One time, he was driving and saw a bumper sticker on the back of a car. This was a really interesting bumper sticker. On it, the bumper sticker said "don't judge me because you sin differently". This is a lesson to not pass final judgement on someone.
-Also, in a general conference talk he was talking about how when there are conflicts, all you have to do is figure out what causes it and just "STOP IT." Simple as that.

2.) What is the difference between destructive conflict and constructive conflict?

Destructive conflict the prevents the problem from being resolved and makes it harder to solve.
Constructive Conflict helps each party to find out what problems they have with each other and figure it out. Also, constructive conflict provides a way to release tension and is geared towards mutual understanding.

3.) Do you currently embrace good conflict or evade it? Analyze your current way of managing conflict and find two areas of improvement.

I'm not sure how well I embrace good conflict. I suppose i'm in the middle. We all make mistakes and sometimes we do well. Having conflicts can help us grow and I've had a lot of good types of conflict and a lot of bad kinds. My current way of managing conflict is to either go alone and think about it for a while and not talking to them. What I should do is communicate better and learn to come out of the box. Also, another good way of managing conflict is to be able to translate what the other person is saying and get their point of view.

1)

Of the 5 dysfunctions, the one that I find is hardest to implement is lack of commitment. When something is planned, some people just never show up. Most of the time they're busy because it's college, but some people just don't try and work on a project or go to an event. A better way to facilitate against falling into this dysfunction is to make the work more attractive. One of the best ways I've found to make it easier to do things and make you want to do them is to have something that's boring and turn it into something out of the ordinary or something cool. Instead of playing ultimate frisbee, you could play ultimate cabbage. If you're planning a group project for a class, change it into a game or something interesting and try to get people on the project involved.

2)

As a leader, some obstacles that might turn up when facilitating teamwork are:

- mental block
sometimes, people just can't come up with an idea. Sometimes bringing in a third party is a great way to unblock the ideas.
- communication in the group
sometimes the group doesn't know what the other people in the group are planning. It's important to have something that will keep the whole group updated on any changes there are.
- mistrust
sometimes people just don't do their part and loose the respect of their peers. It's good to realize the problem and talk to the people that just aren't doing their part. Hopefully that'll motivate them.

Time management

1.
In my life, it is good to manage my time like an orchestra and have all of the parts moving in time with each other and be organized. I do think that some parts of my life should be louder than right now, like when I am getting married and when i'm having my first kid. That's when it all needs to be more organized and be a great memory. Some parts to remove to make my song more beautiful and perfect are moments that I get into trouble or loose my patience. It's good to focus on what matters most, not what is easy at the time.
2.
Without peacefully hurrying, our lives would be endlessly chaotic and nothing would get done. Going about your day peacefully helps to make a symphony like in the previous question and helps to keep your day orderly without contention. Going about your day without hurrying would be slothful and you would never get anything done. So peacefully hurrying helps one to have order in their life and get things done.
3.

     3 Goals For Time Management

- Get all of my school assignments for the day/next day done before 4 pm

- Spend time cleaning and improving my lifestyle and working on hobbies. (also includes stuff like making potato guns)

- Spend time making friends and forming better relationships with friends.

I will hold myself accountable to these goals by writing them down and putting them right above where i sleep so that whenever I wake up, I'll see them and keep the goal in sight.

blog 3 post

1.

Vision

-I wish to be a leader in all that I do and set an example for people. I need to impact everybody I meet in a good way and be remembered.

     Goals

     -magnify my current calling
-make friends with almost everyone (that'll be hard)
     -stay fun
     -go on a mission
-graduate from college with a degree
-get a job that has leadership positions and become an awesome boss
2.
-helping others achieve their goals

-I would encourage my peers to do their best by:
            -doing the best I can
-encouraging them and being a positive influence
-make it fun to achieve goals
3.
-what do defining visions and goals do for me?

-It helps me to realize that I need to improve myself.
-Writing it down makes it so that I don't forget the goals and total vision and that they are somewhere I can see often.
-I want to reach them and this way, i'm constantly reminded.
